I’m a writer with more than 350 published articles on subjects including politics, travel, technology, health, and the environment.  I’ve also worked to build civil rights and civil liberties organizations in my home state of Wisconsin, and now Massachusetts.

I graduated from Brown University in 1993, and the United World College of the American West in 1989.
